SHIPPING, RETURNS AND REFUNDS POLICY

This Policy regulates the conditions applicable to the shipment of orders, returns, exchanges and refunds made through the www.portoinabottle.com online store, in accordance with the Portuguese and European legislation in force, namely Decree-Law No. 24/2014, of 14 February.


1. Order Processing

Orders are processed after effective confirmation of payment.
The average preparation time is 1 to 2 working days, except for exceptional situations such as stock outages, promotional periods, holidays or force majeure.


2. Shipping Methods

Shipments are made through:

  • National postal operators (e.g. CTT)

  • National and international express carriers

The method is automatically selected at checkout depending on the destination, weight and volume of the order.


3. Delivery Times (Estimates)

  • Mainland Portugal: 1 to 3 working days

  • Autonomous Regions: 3 to 7 working days

  • European Union: 3 to 10 working days

  • Outside the EU: 7 to 20 working days

The deadlines are merely indicative and may be delayed for reasons beyond the control of Porto in a Bottle, such as strikes, weather conditions, carrier failures or customs procedures.


4. Shipping Costs

Shipping Costs:

  • Are calculated automatically at checkout

  • They depend on the weight, volume and destination of the order

  • They are always presented to the customer before payment confirmation

Promotional campaigns with free shipments will be properly identified on the website.


5. Failed Deliveries

If delivery is not possible for reasons attributable to the customer (absence at the location, incorrect address, non-pick-up), the carrier may:

  • Retry

  • Forward the order to a collection point

If the order is returned to the company, the reshipment costs will be the responsibility of the customer.


6. Damage in Shipping

The customer must:

  • Verify the order upon delivery

  • Refuse delivery if the package has visible damage

  • Or communicate within a maximum of 48 hours after receipt, by email, with photographic record

Failure to communicate within this period may make it impossible to file a claim with the carrier.


7. International Orders

For shipments outside the European Union, the following may apply:

  • Customs Duties

  • Local taxes

  • Administrative costs

All these charges are the sole responsibility of the customer.


RETURNS AND REFUNDS


8. Right of Free Withdrawal (14 Days)

Under the terms of the law, the consumer has 14 consecutive days to withdraw from the contract, without the need to give any reason, from the date of receipt of the order.


9. Conditions of Acceptance of the Return

For the return to be accepted, the product must:

  • Found in perfect condition, with no signs of use

  • Keep the original packaging

  • Be accompanied by proof of purchase


10. Legal Exclusions to the Right of Return

Under the terms of the applicable legislation, returns of the following are not accepted:

  • Open bottles

  • Food products with a broken security seal

  • Customized Products

  • Products damaged by misuse


11. Return Procedure

The customer must communicate in advance the intention to return by email to:

Indicating:

  • Order number

  • Full name

  • Product(s) to be returned

  • Reason (optional)

The return should only be made after written authorization from the company.


12. Return Costs

  • In case of regret, the return costs are borne by the customer

  • In case of defective, damaged product or shipping error, the costs are borne by Porto in a Bottle


13. Refunds

Upon receipt and verification of the returned products:

  • The refund will be made within a maximum of 14 days

  • By the same means of payment used for the purchase, unless otherwise agreed


14. Exchanges

Exchanges may be authorized:

  • Subject to stock availability

  • With prior authorization from the company

  • Logistics costs are evaluated on a case-by-case basis


15. Damaged Products or Incorrect Shipping

If the customer receives:

  • Damaged product

  • Wrong product

You must communicate within a maximum of 48 hours after receipt, with photographs. After validation, replacement or refund will be made at no additional cost to the customer.


16. Refusal of Returns

The company reserves the right to refuse returns that do not fully comply with the requirements set forth in this policy.


17. Changes to the Policy

Porto in a Bottle reserves the right to change this policy at any time. The version in force will always be the one published on the website.
